What does it mean to be a US citizen? I think it means to be a supporter and defender of the rights communicated in The Constitution. Which, in fact, is based on the Declaration of Independence that is based on the sermons that were being preached in the late 1770's in colonial America. So to be a citizens is to be in alignment with the biblical preaching and teaching of colonized America. American Exceptionalism was the term identified by Europen social sceintists who were seeing the outworking of biblical based principles, balancing Law and Liberty, in early American society, econimically, socially, and politically. |
